On
Saturday the 13th of September, the residents of Droitwich came out in
force to support the town's annual Salt Day. Many joined in the fun by
dressing in period costumes representing the towns history from Roman
times through to the present day.
.

There was a march through the town by troops of Roman legionnaires, followed by the WW2 era Home Guard (aka Dads Army).
Later shoppers were entertained by various activites such as street entertainers and giant cartoon characters.

The centrally placed FairTrade stall as always, was very popular
and well supported. It was coincidently sited next to our latest trade
supporter Butterfingers.
